The University of Idaho is transforming itself academically and systemically to become a leader in environmental, economic and social sustainability. In March 2005, UI President White signed the Talloires Declaration, a contract among University leaders worldwide to initiate institutional change toward sustainability. In March 2007, President White confirmed his pledge by making the UI a signatory to the American College and University Presidents' Climate Commitment and the Chicago Climate Exchange's mandates for reduction toward carbon neutrality. This Website provides an umbrella for sustainability activities that different groups are undertaking to bring about that institutional change.
